CE certification has been one of the certification standards for the safety and performance of electronic products in the European Building Products Certification (CE CPR) since July 2017.

Manufacturers exporting cables to Europe must obtain CE certification.

What products are subject to CE CPR certification?

The products are power supply, power cables for communication purposes, control, control and communication cables, and optical fiber cables.

Cable CE certification is an essential process that manufacturers and importers must follow to ensure the safety of electrical and communication cable products and provide reliable products to users.

Obtaining CE certification provides the following benefits:

  • It can be legally distributed within the EEA.
  • Obtaining the CE mark provides you with confidence in safety.
  • It can serve as evidence that the manufacturer has met its legal responsibilities for product safety.

The authentication process is as follows:

It prepares a technical file (including design, test results, safety assessment, etc.) that satisfies regulatory requirements and conducts a TEST to confirm that it meets the directives applicable to the product category. Once it is confirmed that the product meets the directives and harmonized standards, the CE mark is affixed to the product.
